First discovered in the Unakas Mountains of North Carolina, unakite is altered granite composed of generally clear quartz, green epidote and pink orthoclase feldspar. Unakite is an opaque stone with veigns of green and pink, sometimes with a little russet or red. Unakite pendants work well with both silver and gold, while Unakite beads can range in size from tiny 2mm rounds up to cubes, tubes, nuggets, and beautifully faceted briolettes.
