A lovely bead, at a great price. Tigereye is a semiprecious quartz gem displaying chatoyancy--shimmering, luminescent bands supposedly like a cat's eye. The gem has a rich yellow to yellow-brown or brown color and polishes to a fine golden luster.
Some beads show the treasured blue wash of color in spots.
Measurements: 16mm long, 12mm wide and 7mm thick. Hole is 1mm in diameter.
