Japanese 8 in 2 chain maille made with black rings makes up the mesh-like band of this bracelet, which is
edged with Swarovski crystals in purple velvet. It has a futuristic, edgy feel, and is sure to draw the eye.

Instructions:
Measure your wrist before you begin. You will want a snug fit for this bracelet, with a finished measurement only about 1/2" longer than your wrist measurement. I made mine 6 1/2" long. If you are going to need to make yours much longer, you will need to buy an additional package of FMC-2471, the 20 gauge chain maille rings with an inner diameter of 3/16".

Use 20 gauge black chain maille rings with an inner diameter of 3/16" and 20 gauge black chain maille rings with an inner diameter of 7/64" to make a piece of Japanese 8 in 2 chain maille with three rows of large rings across. Make your piece of chain maille the same length as your wrist measurement.

As demonstrated in the video, use .015" black beading wire to string a row of 6mm purple velvet Swarovski crystal bicone beads along each edge of the chain maille, attaching them to gunmetal plated magnetic clasps at the ends using gunmetal plated crimp beads and wire protectors.

Variations
Combine different finishes of chain maille rings with different colors of crystal beads to give this bracelet an entirely different look. When substituting in items, pay attention to sizes and styles to make sure all your pieces will fit together.

Tip: Check package quantities for each component. You may have extra material to make more than one finished project, or will have leftovers for other projects. In some cases, adding on just one more package of a component may be all you need to make multiple pieces.
