Knot and Loop Cobra Paracord Bracelet

This basic paracord bracelet has a knot and loop closure instead of a plastic buckle. The core cords are a fun and funky rainbow tie dye and the outer cords are a pretty, bright turquoise.

Instructions:

You can use a pair of flush cutters or a strong sharp pair of scissors to cut through your paracord. You will also need a cheap plastic lighter to complete this project. You'll want a plain one with no shrink wrap, and you'll want one you don't mind getting wrecked.

These instructions will create a bracelet that is about 7" long, which is a standard women's bracelet size. A standard men's bracelet size is about 8". To lengthen or shorten this bracelet, change the length of your center cord by twice the amount you'd like to change the length by. For example, if you'd like to add an inch, add two inches to the center cord measurement. Then, change the length of your finished knotting by the amount you'd like to change the bracelet length.

Watch the instructional video How to Make a Basic Cobra Paracord Bracelet. You won't follow this exact process, but it will show you how to fuse the cord and do the knotting.

Fold your 21" length of tie dye rainbow paracord in half and tie a Celtic button knot. As you tighten, make one of the ends 3 inches longer than the other. Fuse the ends as shown in the video.

Cut a 6' length of turquoise paracord. Place the middle of this piece about 1/4" below the knot on your tie dye piece and tie a square knot. Continue making square knots until your knotting measures 6". This should leave a loop about 1" long at the end of your tie dye cord. Cut the ends of the turquoise cord about 1/8" from the last knot and fuse as shown in the video.

To close, pull the knot through the loop.
