Project B123
Designer: Andrea Morici

Dotted with smoothly polished pebble beads and bayong wood beads, this bracelet has a certain exotic desert feel to it.

NOTE: This project includes one or more items that are no longer available, despite our best efforts. We have kept this project on the site for you to use as a template or inspiration for your own creations.

Sahara Bracelet made of exotic bayong wood beads, patera, copper plated beads and more | Beadaholique

What You'll Need

Instructions:

  1. Cut five lengths of Soft Flex at one foot long each. Secure one end of each piece with a Bead Stopper.

  2. Onto three of the strands, string the following:
    • a copper plated heishe spacer
    • a 3mm round Indian agate bead
    • another copper plated heishe spacer
    • and a copper bicone bead

Repeat this sequence a total of fifteen times on each of the three strands.

  3. Onto the other two strands, string the following:
    • a copper plated heishe spacer
    • a bayong wood saucer bead
    • another copper plated heishe spacer
    • and a crazy lace agate nugget.

Repeat this sequence a total of eleven times on both of the strands. Each of the five strands should be almost exactly the same length, if not, add a heishe spacer or two.

  4. Add a crimp tube to each end of each strand, but do not crimp them yet.

  5. Thread each end through ten separate closed jump rings, back through each crimp tube, pull tight, and crimp the tubes. Trim off excess wire.

  6. Use the oval jump rings to attach the strands to the five-strand reducer bead bars, alternating the two types of strands.

  7. Link two oval jump rings together. Attach one of these jump rings to the single loop on one of the strand reducers. Attach the other oval jump ring to the loop on the lobster clasp.

  8. Link six 8mm round open jump rings together, creating an extender chain. Connect one end of the chain to the other strand reducer.

  9. Thread a crazy lace agate nugget onto a headpin and create a wrapped wire loop.

  10. Open the last jump ring in the extender chain, and thread it through the wrapped wire loop. Close the jump ring again.

Tip: Check package quantities for each component. You may have extra material to make more than one finished project, or will have leftovers for other projects. In some cases, adding on just one more package of a component may be all you need to make multiple pieces.
