Simply Wrapped Bracelet

What You'll Need

Specialized Tools

Instructions:

  1. Cut the cotton wax cord (XCR-4153) 3 feet long.

  2. Fold the cord in half. Thread both cut ends of the cord through the 6mm closed jump (FJR-3063), leave about a 1 inch loop on the bottom of the cord.

  3. Thread on another 6mm jump ring to just one of the strands. Bring the cord through the center of the 30mm triangle crystal ring (SWC-7053) looping the cord back through itself and the crystal (see photo).

  4. Open the largest jump ring (FJR-3116) and link onto the large crystal triangle. Close the jump ring.

  5. You will make this bracelet fit your wrist size. Wrap around your wrist twice until the cord is snug. Now trim off the access at the end of the cord with the cut ends.

  6. Squeeze the two cut ends of the cord together, twirling tightly so they make a slight point at the end. Place a piece of scotch tape around the cord end you just twisted. Trim off about an 1/8th of inch. Slide the end with the tape into the crimp end (FCR-3140). Now use your chain nose pliers squeezing down tightly to flatten the center of the crimp end. Alternate from one side to the other making sure it is as flat as you can make it.

  7. Take the round blank disc (PND-3624) and make a straight line across the center with a ruler and permanent black marker. Place an x at the center of this line with the same permanent marker. Pick up the lowercase letter "e" from your letter stamp set (XTL-0717). You will always start at the very center and work your way to the left and to the right. Set the letter "e" stamp on top of the "x" you made with the permanent marker. Make sure stamp is straight, perpendicular to the steel bench block and perpendicular to the metal surface to be stamped. Press the stamp lightly onto the metal. Strike the stamp with your hammer (XTL-2150). Make sure the hammer head comes down straight, parallel to the bench block, striking the stamp dead center. Strike the letter about 2-3 times without moving it. Repeat these steps with all of the letter stamps until you spell out "STRENGTH". Use your permanent black marker to fill in the letters you just stamped. Immediately wipe off excess marker with a paper towel or cloth. This will also wipe off the line you made earlier.

  8. Open an 8mm jump ring and link onto the message charm dangle and the 6mm closed jump ring you placed on the cord strand earlier (see photo). Close the jump ring.

  9. Open a 4mm jump ring (FJR-3043) and link onto the loop of the 4mm crimp end and the lobster clasp (FCL-1004). Close jump ring.
