Instructions:
NOTE: You will also need a ruler and a pen to complete this project.
Each of the squares on this bracelet are 20mm x 20mm. For this project, I decided to cut my squares to be 3/4" x 3/4", which is a little small but very close and much easier to measure then measuring 20mm x 20mm.
Always wear eye protection when cutting metal.
- Flip your copper sheet over on your work table so that the patina side is down and the shiny copper side is facing upwards.
-
Using a ruler, measure from a side edge 3/4" inward. Make a mark. Do this at several places going from that same edge. Draw a line connecting the dots so that you have a strip that is 3/4" wide. Now repeat this step but use the line you just drew as the starting point. You should now have 2 strips that are 3/4" wide each. To turn these into squares, just turn your copper sheet so that you are measuring from the side edge next to the original one you were measuring from and measure 3/4" inward. Make several measurement marks and draw a line. Then repeat this step using the line you just drew as a starting point and then repeat the step again. You just made a grid.
-
Put on your protective eye wear.
-
Cut the squares out of your metal sheet using metal shears. You can see how to do this HERE
-
The copper sheets are very flexible, if any are bent, use your fingers to flatten them out so that they are straight. They might be sharp, so be cautious
-
Place a dab of E6000 on the backside (shiny copper) of a square and spread it out a bit so that i almost goes to the edge. Do not use too much glue, you do not want it to spill out over the edges. Flip over and press into place on one of the bracelet bezel setting. Repeat this step with the other 7 bracelet bezel settings and Lillypilly copper squares.
-
Let dry.

Tip: Check package quantities for each component. You may have extra material to make more than one finished project, or will have leftovers for other projects. In some cases, adding on just one more package of a component may be all you need to make multiple pieces.
