Instructions:
Remember to double these instructions to make your matched pair of shoe clips.
- Cut a 2 x 2" piece of Lacy's Stiff Stuff Beading Foundation.
-
Use a toothpick or scrap piece of wire to spread a thin, even coat of E6000 glue onto the back of a 25 mm lucite round cameo with a pink and white cat's face, and press it firmly onto the center of the piece of Lacy's Stiff Stuff. Allow the glue to dry for at least an hour before moving on.
-
Cut a 3' length of white NYMO nylon beading thread and thread a size 12 beading needle with it. Using galvanized gray luster Miyuki Delica 15/0 seed beads, complete two rows of backstitch bead embroidery around the cameo.
-
Carefully trim the Lacy's Stiff Stuff around your bead embroidered shape.
-
Glue your beaded piece onto a piece of grey ultra suede using The Ultimate permanent glue. Allow to dry for at least an hour before moving on.
-
Carefully trim the ultra suede around your beaded piece.
-
Cut a 3' length of NYMO and thread your needle with it. Use matte transparent pink mist AB Miyuki Delica 11/0 seed beads to add a beaded edge to your work.
-
Use a toothpick or scrap piece of wire to apply a thin, even coat of E6000 to the glue pad on a silver plated clip on earring finding. Place your beaded piece face down and center the earring finding with the hinged edge of the earring just inside the top beaded edge of your beaded piece. Press firmly, allow to dry for at least an hour before moving on.
-
Use a round shape between 3/4" and 1" to trace two circles onto a spare piece of gray ultra suede with a ball point pen. I used the side of the spool of NYMO. Cut out the two circles.
-
Use your finger to apply a thin, even coat of The Ultimate glue to one of the ultra suede circles. Open the clip on earring hinge and place the ultra suede circle over one side of the back of the earring finding, leaving a bit of the circle around the edges of the earring finding.
-
Use your finger to apply a thin, even coat of The Ultimate glue to the one side of the other ultra suede circle. Line it up with the other circle and press, glue sides together, to sandwich the back of the earring finding between the to circles.
-
Allow all of the glue to dry for at least 24 hours before wearing.

Variations
Use any kind of cameo and change the bead and ultra suede colors to match.
When substituting in items, pay attention to sizes and styles to make sure all your pieces will fit together.
Tip: Check package quantities for each component. You may have extra material to make more than one finished project, or will have leftovers for other projects. In some cases, adding on just one more package of a component may be all you need to make multiple pieces.
