Instructions:
- Before you begin, watch the instructional video: How to Make an Ornate Beaded Bead Using Right Angle Weave Double Needle Method.
-
Thread a size 10 beading needle with as much white Wildfire beading thread as you are comfortable working with at one time. I like to use about 6 feet. If necessary, tie off and add new thread as you work.
-
Using 9.5mm round faceted lucite beads and 4mm round fire polish metallic gold beads, create an ornate beaded bead as demonstrated in the video. Tie off and weave in your ends.
-
Cut a couple of inches off of one of the ends of your crimson red silk ribbon, cutting an upside down "V" shape into the end. Measure about 18" and cut another inverted "V" shape into the other end.
-
Thread your ribbon through your beaded bead and back out the next opening. Tie a small bow at the top where the ribbons meet to create a loop for hanging your ornament.

Variations
Using a different color of fire polish beads will change the look of your ornament. Be sure to choose ribbon to match! When substituting in items, pay attention to sizes and styles to make sure all your pieces will fit together.

Tip: Check package quantities for each component. You may have extra material to make more than one finished project, or will have leftovers for other projects. In some cases, adding on just one more package of a component may be all you need to make multiple pieces.
