Twilight Book Mark - Paperback Edition

The perfect gift for a Twilight fan! A gorgeous way for them to show their love of the series and to mark their place in their favorite volume. A petite size book mark, perfect for paperbacks.
NOTE: The chain used in this project has been discontinued and a slightly different item has replaced it. The overall look of the necklace will not change much, but the chain will differ slightly from the photo.

Instructions:
- Cut a small piece of chain that is comprised of two large links and one joining link. Save the rest of the chain for making other bookmarks, or a bracelet.

Gently open the jump ring on the bookmark, using the correct opening a jump ring technique. Open it just enough to slip one link of the chain onto the jump ring, and close the jump ring firmly.

Open a 6mm jump ring. Open it enough to pass through the hang hole in the crystal heart. Also pass it through the top link of the chain, the link that is attached to the bookmark. Pay attention to which way the heart will be facing when the book mark is in a book. Once the heart is facing the way you like, close the 6mm jump ring firmly.

Remove the jump ring that comes with the wolf charm, and save it for future projects. Open a 6mm jump ring, and pass it through the top ring of the charm.

Determine which way you would like the wolf to face, and pass the ring through the bottom link of the chain. Close the ring firmly. You may want to give it an extra 'pressing' with your chain nose pliers -- this will harden the metal of the jump ring and make it more secure.

Give the book mark to your favorite Twilight fan, or tuck it into your own edition.
You may wish to use the leftover chain to make the larger Twilight Book Mark - First Edition, suitable for hardcover volumes. Substitute it in for the chain specified in the instructions. |
