New Moon Book Mark

A perfect gift for that Twilight fan on your list. Or keep it yourself, we won't tell. A beautiful large size book mark, suitable for hardcover books.

What You'll Need

Instructions:
- Cut a length of chain that is comprised of seven large links and six joining links. Save the rest of the chain for making other bookmarks, or a bracelet.

Gently open the jump ring on the bookmark, using the correct opening a jump ring technique. Open it just enough to slip one end link of the chain onto the jump ring, and close the jump ring firmly.

Open a 6mm jump ring. Open it enough to pass through the hang hole in the crystal moon. Open it as much as necessary before passing through the crystal. Do not force it open against the crystal, as the moon narrows to a point here, and could easily chip.

Also pass the ring through the top link of the chain, the link that is attached to the bookmark. Make sure it is to the left of the connector link below it on the chain.

Note which way the moon will be facing when the book mark is in a book. Once the moon is facing in the direction you prefer, close the 6mm jump ring firmly.

Open a 6mm jump ring. Open it enough to pass through the hang hole in the apple charm. Also pass it through the third link of the chain from the top. Make sure it is hanging to the right of the connector link below it on the chain.

Note which way the apple will be facing when the book mark is in a book. Once the red enamel is facing outwards, close the 6mm jump ring firmly.

Open an 8mm jump ring. Open it enough to pass through the hang hole in the crystal heart. Also pass it through the fifth link of the chain from the top. Make sure it is to the left of the connector link below it on the chain.

Note which way the heart will be facing when the book mark is in a book. Once the heart is facing the way you prefer, close the 8mm jump ring firmly.

Open a 6mm jump ring, and pass it through the top ring of the wooden wolf charm.

Determine which direction you would like the wolf to face, and then pass the ring through the bottom link of the chain. Close the ring firmly. You may want to give the ring an extra 'pressing' with your chain nose pliers -- this will harden the metal of the jump ring and make it more secure.

Give the book mark to your favorite Twilight fan, or tuck it into your own edition.
