Instructions:
Designer Tip: Tying all the ribbons is a lot easier if you can tie them around a cylindric object such as a spice jar or medicine bottle. I used a 1.5" diameter wood dowel.
- Begin measuring and cutting 6 lengths of ivory grosgrain ribbon, 13" long each. Tip: Make sure one of the ends is cut at a diagonal so you have a nice fine point on your ribbon end.
-
Thread one of your ribbons through the top loop on one of your painted wooden nesting dolls. Pull the ribbon through so that an even amount is on each side. Tie a bow with the ribbon making sure to leave a loop large enough to hang on a tree branch. Snip off any uneven or rough ends of ribbon. Repeat this step with your other 5 dolls.

Variations
Choose from a variety of grosgrain ribbon colors for this project. When substituting in items, pay attention to sizes and styles to make sure all your pieces will fit together.
Keywords: holiday ornament, christmas ornament, nesting doll, doll
Tip: Check package quantities for each component. You may have extra material to make more than one finished project, or will have leftovers for other projects. In some cases, adding on just one more package of a component may be all you need to make multiple pieces.
