Instructions:

Cut four pieces of the beading chain using flush cutters: 2 pieces-each 1.5 inches long, and 2 pieces-each 2 inches long.

Tuck the ends of one short piece of chain and one long piece of chain into a fancy crimp cord end. The ends should go all the way through to the edge of, but not poke out of, the crimp bead. Squeeze the center band only of the crimp bead flat with chain nose pliers. I often use bent nose pliers, as their tips are narrower then my regular chain nose.

You should now have two pieces of chain hanging from the fancy crimp bead. Slide a Swarovski Crystal cube bead onto the end of the chain, then slide on a sterling silver crimp bead. Flatten the micro crimp bead just enough with your chain nose pliers so that it grips the chain firmly but also so that the chain does not get crushed. Trim chain if necessary, using flush cutters.

Repeat step three with the other piece of chain.

Hang the fancy crimp bead from one of the earring posts. Place an earring back on the back of the earring post.

Repeat steps 2-5 to create your other earring.

You can redesign these earrings with any beads that will fit over the chain, and are light enough to be held in place by the micro crimps. Beads made of glass or crystal will work best, due to their regular-sized drill holes. Some pearls will also fit on this chain. You can use earring hooks or leverbacks instead of posts.

Tip: Check package quantities for each component. You may have extra material to make more than one finished project, or will have leftovers for other projects. In some cases, adding on just one more package of a component may be all you need to make multiple pieces.
