Instructions:
The clip on earring findings come in a pack of 3 pairs, which means you can choose additional buttons from your assortment and make three pairs of earrings with these materials.
- Choose two matching buttons from your vintage metal button assortment that are large enough to fit a silver plated clip on earring finding on the back.
-
Use a pair of flush cutters to clip the shank off of the button right up against the back of the button. Clip one side at a time. The shanks are hollow, and should be relatively easy to clip through.
-
Press the cut edges flat using the side of a pair of chain nose pliers. Be careful, the cut edges may be sharp. Make sure the edges lie flat and don't stick up so that your earring finding can lie flat against the back of the button.
-
Place a dab of E6000 glue onto the glue pad on an earring finding, and center it on the backside of the button. Press into place and allow the glue to dry thoroughly.
-
Repeat this process with your second matching button to create the other earring.
-
Allow the glue to dry completely before wearing.

Tip: Check package quantities for each component. You may have extra material to make more than one finished project, or will have leftovers for other projects. In some cases, adding on just one more package of a component may be all you need to make multiple pieces.
