What You'll Need
|
Instructions:
- Follow the instructions below twice, to make two earrings.
-
Take one headpin and place the following items on it, from bottom to top:
- one delicate flower bead cap
- one lampwork bead
- one delicate bead cap (large side down).
-
Make a wrapped wire loop in the headpin, no more than 4mm in diameter, snugly above the top bead cap and trim excess wire. If necessary, use chain nose pliers to tuck in the end of the wire. Make sure the loop on your second earring is the same size, or your earrings will be different lengths.
-
Hang the bead assembly from your kidney wire. We also carry 1 1/2 inch kidney wires if you want a slightly shorter one.
-
In our example we have slightly bent back the little tail of the kidney wire below the catch of the earring for better security of the earring. You may also want to pinch closed the loop of the earring from which your bead hangs for additional securing of the dangle.
Make these earrings in other colors and patterns! Use any one of our 13mm blown glass beads and bead caps with kidney wires in silver plate, gold plate, and Vintaj brass to create earrings in a variety of colors.
