Snowball Earrings

Remember having snowball fights as a kid? What fun! We created these sparkling and sophisticated
earrings as an homage to that favorite childhood winter pastime.

Instructions:
- Remember to double all of the instructions in order to make both earrings. Begin by cutting a length of Fireline at about two feet long and single-thread it onto your needle.

Insert the needle in the center of where three pearls come together on your woven pearl ball, and bring it out once more just outside the grouping of three. Pull your needle until there is only a four inch tail. Tie the working thread and the tail into a square knot and tuck the tail into the center of the woven pearl ball.

Weave the Fireline into the center of the woven ball and come out on the opposite side in the center of a grouping of five pearls.

Thread a Swarovski round, and bring your needle back through the same opening. The Swarovski should sit comfortably in the opening between the pearls.

Bring your needle out of the next adjacent opening between five pearls and repeat the previous step. Continue to add the Swarovski round beads to the woven pearl ball until all of the open spaces are filled.

Once you have added the last Swarovski, tie your thread in a square knot around the nearest thread in the woven pearl ball, weave the excess thread back into the pearl ball, and trim off excess thread.

Now, take a headpin and thread it through a spot on the pearl ball where three of the pearls are woven tightly together, and out directly through the opposite side. Create a wrapped wire loop and trim off excess wire.

Thread the earring hook through the wrapped headpin loop so that the snowball sits in the loop at the bottom of the earring hook.
Tip: Check package quantities for each component. You may have extra material to make more than one finished project, or will have leftovers for other projects. In some cases, adding on just one more package of a component may be all you need to make multiple pieces.
