Instructions:
- Remember to double all of the instructions in order to make both earrings! Using your flush cutters (XTL-5600), cut a piece of wire that is approximately two feet in length. You might end up with some excess wire, but you can use this to create the flower dangles.
-
Leaving a three inch long piece of wire sticking outward from one of the silver plated round links, wrap tightly around the link right next to the tail, two times. This anchors the wire to the link.
-
Add about an inch and a half of the green seed bead mix to the wire, and push them all the way down so they sit right against the link.
-
Wrap the beaded wire tightly around the link, making sure that there is no space between the beads, but also making sure that you do not press too hard and risk breaking the beads.
-
When you reach the end of the inch and a half of beaded wire, add another inch and a half and continue wrapping. Repeat this process until the entire link is covered and you reach the beginning where the three inch tail is.
-
Wrap the working wire around the tail about three times. Trim off the working wire and save it, and create a wrapped wire loop with the tail. Trim off excess wire.
-
Cut the saved wire scrap into two pieces of equal length. Using your chain nose pliers, carefully fold over one end of each piece of wire, about one eighth of an inch away from the tip. This creates a makeshift headpin.
-
Thread one glass flower bead onto each of the makeshift headpins. Create a wrapped wire loop on both pieces of wire, but thread the loops onto the "stem" of the wrapped wire loop at the top of the wreath before completing the wrapping. Trim off all excess wire.
-
Gently open the loop at the bottom of the earring hook, the same way you would open a jump ring. Thread the loop through the wrapped wire loop at the top of the wreath, and then close the loop once again.
Tip: Check package quantities for each component. You may have extra material to make more than one finished project, or will have leftovers for other projects. In some cases, adding on just one more package of a component may be all you need to make multiple pieces.
