Instructions:
- Remember to double all of the instructions in order to make both earrings. In addition to the Beadaholique supplies, for this project you will also be needing some kind of solvent, a spray acrylic fixative (we use Mod Podge Matte Acrylic Sealer), and an inexpensive paintbrush. For the solvent, we recommend using Turpenoid (NOT Turpenoid Natural), mineral spirits or turpentine. Begin by on how to apply Gilders Paste using a paintbrush.
-
Paint a thick coating of Gilders Paste onto your filigree stamping and allow to dry for at least twenty-four hours.
-
Once the paste is dry, gently buff the surface with a paper towel until the desired amount of metal shows through. Spray the filigree pieces with an acrylic sealer and allow to dry.
-
After the sealer has dried, apply a small amount of E6000 adhesive to the back of your cameo and press it into place on the center of your filigree stamping. Set aside to dry for at least a few hours.
-
Thread a 4mm fire polish bead onto a headpin and create a simple wire loop. Trim off excess wire. Create four more of these, for a total of five (per earring).
-
and use them to add the fire polish dangles across the bottom of the filigree stamping. Close the jump rings once more.
-
Slide the kidney ear wire through the hole in the top of the filigree stamping, and you are done!

Tip: Check package quantities for each component. You may have extra material to make more than one finished project, or will have leftovers for other projects. In some cases, adding on just one more package of a component may be all you need to make multiple pieces.
