Modern Bird's Nest Earrings

A charming bird's nest appears 3 dimensional while magnified under a glass cabochon dome in these
modern style earrings. Completing the look is a Swarovski crystal cube bead which adds just enough
sparkle to contrast the metal components.

Instructions:
- Remember to double all these directions to make your matched pair of earrings!

Locate the image of the bird's nest on your "Butterflies and Birds" transfer sheet. Cut out.

to the metal blank, centering it and making sure that the hole in the blank is at the top. Press out any air bubbles with your fingers.

Place a dot of Diamond Glaze slightly smaller then a pencil eraser in the center of the flat side of your glass cabochon dome. Place directly on top of the birds nest image on the blank. Press down firmly to spread the glaze and get rid of any air bubbles. If some glaze spills out the sides of the dome, try to wipe away without touching the glass. Let dry.

Cut a 4 inch piece of 22 gauge silver color craft wire. Create a wrapped wrapped wire loop on one end, making sure to loop it through the hole at the top of your blank before finishing the wrapping. Slide your Swarovski cube bead in crystal golden shadow onto the wire. Create a wrapped wire loop directly after the bead, this time making sure to place the the hole at the bottom of the earring hook into the loop before finishing the wrapping. Cut off any excess wire with flush cutters.

Tip: Check package quantities for each component. You may have extra material to make more than one finished project, or will have leftovers for other projects. In some cases, adding on just one more package of a component may be all you need to make multiple pieces.
