Instructions:
- Remember to double these directions to make your matched set of earrings!
-
Cut a 4 inch length of 22 gauge silver craft wire. Create a on one end. Thread onto your wire 1 Czech glass 8mm teardrop bead in light teal, 1 Czech glass 8mm teardrop bead in alexandrite, another teardrop in teal, another alexandrite, and finally another teal. Using your fingers arrange the beads so that all the teal are on one side and all the alexandrite are on one side. See the photo. Push them tightly together. Create another wrapped wire loop after the last bead. Cut off excess wire with flush cutters. We will refer to this piece as the "teardrop bar".
-
Cut off a length of flat cable chain 25 links long. Open the end link the same way you would and attach it to the wrapped wire loop on one side of your teardrop bar. Close the link back up. Go to the other end of the chain and open that end link. Attach it to the wrapped loop opposite the side you attached the other end of chain length to. Close the link.
-
Cut a 2 inch length of 22 gauge wire. String a light teal Czech glass teardrop bead onto the wire and create a . Cut off excess wire with flush cutters.
-
Back on your main uncut length of chain, open and remove the last link the same way you would a jump ring. Using this link as a jump ring, link onto it the teal glass teardrop bead you just made in the last step. Before closing this "jump ring" link it to the 13th chain link of the chain length which is attached to your teardrop bar. Close the link/"jump ring".
-
Cut another length of chain which is 15 chain links long. Attach one end of this chain length to one of the wrapped wire loops on the end of your teardrop bar the same way you attached the other length of chain previously. Attach the other side of the chain to the other side of the teardrop bar.
-
On the 8th chain link of the chain you just attached, carefully open up the link like how you would open a jump ring (make sure none of the other chain links come off). Thread onto the 8th link the hole at the base of your antique silver plated tapered round earring hook. Close the link back up.

All done! Enjoy!

If you would like to make a matching bracelet, see project B613 Ocean Mist Stacking Bracelet Set. You can use many of your leftover beads from this project to make this bracelet. Look over the instructions on the bracelet project to see what additional supplies you will need.
Keywords: ocean, summery, btq-nautical
Tip: Check package quantities for each component. You may have extra material to make more than one finished project, or will have leftovers for other projects. In some cases, adding on just one more package of a component may be all you need to make multiple pieces.
