Sterling Silver Date Night Earrings

Instructions:
Please begin by watching the video on making wire loops correctly.
Remember to double these directions to make your matched pair of earrings.

Cut the heads off of 5 sterling silver head pins. Try not to cut too much of the length of the pin.

Create a simple wire loop on one end of one of the above cut head pins. Place 1 Swarovski 3mm bicone bead in jet black onto the wire. Create another simple wire loop directly after the bead. Try to use just the smallest tip of your round nose pliers to make these loops in order to create a delicate feel. Cut off excess wire with flush cutters.

Repeat the above step with your 4 remaining wire pieces (head pins without heads).

Take 1 head pin and place 1 Swarovski 3mm bicone bead in jet black onto the wire. Create a simple wire loop right after the bead. Cut off excess wire with flush cutters.

For the next few steps, you are going to be opening the simple loops from the above items the same way you would open a jump ring.

Let's begin linking our earring together!

Open the loop at the top of the beaded dangle which is on the head pin, link it through the end open-work hole of one of the chain tag plaques. Close the loop. Go to the other end of the chain tag plaque and open and attach another beaded segment (this one with a loop on each end). On the other end of this beaded segment, attach another chain tag plaque. Keep doing this until you end up with a total of 6 chain tag plaques attached with Swarovski jet black bicones between them. See the photo if need be.

Open the loop at the base of your french wire earring hooks and attach it to the open-work hole of the chain tag plaque at the top of the dangle earring you just created. Close the loop back up.

Add an earring safety back to your earring hook.

Variations
There are a number of beautiful Swarovski crystal 3mm bicones available. Choose your favorite color to make these pretty earrings.
When substituting in items, pay attention to sizes and styles to make sure all your pieces will fit together.
Tip: Check package quantities for each component. You may have extra material to make more than one finished project, or will have leftovers for other projects. In some cases, adding on just one more package of a component may be all you need to make multiple pieces.
