Instructions:
Remember to double these directions to make your matched pair of earrings.
- Begin by watching the tutorial: How to Wire Wrap Beads onto a Form. This same technique is used to wire wrap the beads onto the focal Tierracast quatrefoil.
-
Cut an 8" length of 26 gauge gold colored craft wire. On the edge of one of the quatrefoils arcs, make 3 tight wraps, add a SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS crystal 3mm bicone bead in olivine, make 2 tight wraps, add another bicone, make 2 more tight wraps, add a final bicone, and then make 3 more tight wraps. Snip off excess wire from both sides.
-
Repeat the last step on two other sides of the quatrefoil. Make sure that your wire ends are all smoothed down and are on the same side of the quatrefoil.
-
Take a 21 gauge gold plated head pin and snip the head off of the pin. Create a simple wire loop on the one end, noting that this will need to be able to be linked to the Tierracast contempo earring hooks. Thread onto the pin 1 SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS crystal 3mm bicone bead in olivine, 1 SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS 10mm round bead in marbled yellow, and another 3mm bicone. Create a simple wire loop after the last bead. Make sure that this loop is large enough to go over the side of your quatrefoil (non beaded side). Snip off any excess wire with flush cutters.
-
Open the larger of your two simple wire loops, the same way you would open a jump ring. Slip this over the edge of the quatrefoil which is not beaded. Close the loop back up. Now attach the other simple wire loop to your contempo earring hooks. Close the loop. Make sure that when you hold your earring up, that your quatrefoil faces forward. If not, twist the beaded middle connector (with the marbled bead) until everything is lined up properly.
-
All done! Enjoy!

Tip: Check package quantities for each component. You may have extra material to make more than one finished project, or will have leftovers for other projects. In some cases, adding on just one more package of a component may be all you need to make multiple pieces.
