Autumn Elegance Earrings
Project E693 Designer: Julie Bean
The colors of Fall radiate from these earrings as clusters of copper, burgundy, and gold pearls and SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS crystals dangle from delicate chains. Completing the look are swaged gold chains below the pearls and crystals, creating a cascading chandelier effect.

Instructions:
Please remember to double these directions to make your matched pair of earrings.
- Separate out 2 scalloped curved bars from you chain. Just cut the little ring between them to separate.
-
Snip a length of bright gold plated cable circle chain that is 11 links long.
-
You are going to start this project by making all of the crystal and pearl dangles. To make each one, you will need to cut 3" of 24 gauge craft wire. Make a wrapped wire loop on one end and make sure to snip off excess wire from your wrapping and press the rough end into the wraps. Onto the wire that remains, place any combination of a SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS 4mm bicone in crystal copper, a burgundy red funky nugget pearl, and a dark goldenrod cultured flat pearl. For this project I never used more then 3 items total for a single dangle, and most dangles had 2 of the previously listed items on them, but you can do whatever you like. After the last bead begin to make a wrapped wire loop, but BEFORE you make your wrappings, slip one of the chain links from the previously cut cable circle chain into the loop and then continue with your wrappings. Snip off excess wire and press the rough end into the
wrappings. Make a total of 14 of these and attach then to your chain length. One quick note: do not attach them to the first or last link on your cut chain.
-
Cut 4 lengths of cable circle chain, 5 links long each.
-
Open a 3mm gold colored jump ring and link onto it one end of your 11 link long chain with dangles on it. Also link onto this jump ring one of the scalloped bars (there is a little hole on each side) and one of your cut 5 link long chain pieces. Close the jump ring. Repeat this step on the other side of the scalloped bar with the other end of your 11 link long chain (with dangles) and another cut 5 link long chain piece.
-
Open another 3mm jump ring and link onto it the end of one of the previously attached cut 5 link long chains, another scalloped curved bar, and another 5 link long chain. Close the jump ring. Repeat this step on the other side of the earring.
-
Open the loop at the base of your earring hook (the same way you would a jump ring) and place onto it the end links of the two 5 link long chains from the last step. Close the loop back up.
-
Almost done!
-
Cut 1 length of chain that is 3 inches long and 1 length of chain that is 4 inches long.
-
Open a 3mm jump ring and connect it to the end link of both chains. Also link this jump ring to the 1st link of your 11 link long (with dangles) chain that is already attached to your earring. Close the jump ring. Repeat this step with another jump ring, connecting it to the other end links of the 2 chains and the 11th chain link of your 11 link long (with dangles) chain.
-
All done!
-
Have fun wearing these!

Variations
Choose different colors of pearls and crystals for a variation on this design. When substituting in items, pay attention to sizes and styles to make sure all your pieces will fit together.
Keywords: chandelier earrings, dangle earrings, SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS, chain earrings, pearls, autumn, fall
Tip: Check package quantities for each component. You may have extra material to make more than one finished project, or will have leftovers for other projects. In some cases, adding on just one more package of a component may be all you need to make multiple pieces.
