Secret Keeper Earrings
Project E717 [Skill Level: Intermediate] Designer: Julie Bean
These charming earrings feature a lovely old fashion key hanging from a striking olivine Czech glass chaton. To me, it looks like the key unlocks some magical secrets hidden within the stone. Very pretty!

Instructions:
NOTE: If you order a second set of keys (PND-5750), you can make 2 pairs of these earrings with the supplies in the kit.
Don't forget to double these instructions to make your matched pair of earrings.
- Please watch the video: How to Use Nunn Design Prong Settings for Chatons and Make a Pair of Earrings.
-
From what you learned in the above video, place an olivine Czech glass chaton into the Nunn Design 4-prong setting and fold the prongs over the stone.
-
Open the loop at the base of your earring hook and connect it to one of the loops on the pronged setting. Close the loop back up.
-
Open and attach an oval jump ring to the loop on the other side of the pronged setting and also link onto it a key charm. Close the jump ring.
-
All done! Enjoy.

Variations
Choose from a variety of pretty prong settings and lovely Czech glass chatons to make these earrings. When substituting in items, pay attention to sizes and styles to make sure all your pieces will fit together.
Tip: Check package quantities for each component. You may have extra material to make more than one finished project, or will have leftovers for other projects. In some cases, adding on just one more package of a component may be all you need to make multiple pieces.
