Inverness Earrings
Project E725 [Skill Level: Beginner] Designer: Julie Bean
These earrings were inspired by the rich cultural heritage and beautiful landscapes of Scotland. The linked jump rings in the center of the design look like chain maille and the pretty SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS channel crystal charm hanging from the base adds a subtle sparkle.

Instructions:
Don't forget to double these instructions to make your matched pair of earrings.
- We are going to be connecting two strand reducers together via their 3 loop sides. Open a jump ring and connect it to one of the 3 loops on one side of a strand reducer. Close the jump ring. Open another jump ring and link it to the 2nd loop on the same side of the strand reducer. Close the jump ring. Repeat this with a 3rd and final jump ring attaching it to the 3rd loop. You should now have 3 jump rings attach to your strand reducer, 1 hanging from each of the 3 loops on the long side of the reducer.
-
Open another jump ring and attach it to the first jump ring you connected. Close the jump ring. Repeat this process with 2 more jump rings, attaching them to the 2 other previously attached jump rings.
-
Open another jump ring and attach it to the first series of 2 jump rings you attached (so this is the third in that "chain" of rings). Before closing it, link it to one of the side loops on your other strand reducer (the long side with the 3 loops on it). Now close the loop. Attach the other 2 series' of jump rings in the same fashion as the first one. You want to end up with 2 strand reducers connected together with 3 sets of 3 jump rings linked together forming little chains. See photo.
-
Open a jump ring and connect it to one of the single loop sides of one of the strand reducers from above and also the small loop at the top of your SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS channel crystal charm in black diamond. Close the jump ring.
-
On the other strand reducer, single loop side, attach your earring hook by opening the loop at its base. You can open this loop the same way you would open a jump ring. Close the loop back up.
-
Enjoy!

Variations
Try making this same earring style using different colors of SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS channel crystal charms. When substituting in items, pay attention to sizes and styles to make sure all your pieces will fit together.

Tip: Check package quantities for each component. You may have extra material to make more than one finished project, or will have leftovers for other projects. In some cases, adding on just one more package of a component may be all you need to make multiple pieces.
