Gidget Earrings
Project E731 [Skill Level: Intermediate] Designer: Julie Bean
These cute retro earrings are a great project for summer. The pearlized mint green resin looks very "vintagy" when poured into a half round resin mold and then attached to a clip on earring finding. This kit has enough supplies to make 3 complete pairs of these earrings!

Instructions:
Please note that you will need a mixing cup and a stir stick for this project.
- Begin by watching the video: How to Add Pearlizing Powder to Resin.
-
Based upon what you learned in the video, mix up a batch of resin with green transparent dye and pearlizing powder added to it.
-
Pour your resin into the half round cavities of your 3/4" round resin mold. Fill the mold cavities full but do not try to dome them or have them spill over. Let cure for 3 days.
-
Pop your resin rounds out of the mold. You can see more information about using resin molds in the video: How to Use Ice Resin, Molds, and Color Dyes to Make Jewelry.
-
Place a dab of E6000 glue onto the glue-on tab of your clip on earring finding. Attach this to the backside of one of your rounds. Press into place and let dry overnight.
-
Repeat the above steps to make your matching earring.
-
Enjoy!

Keywords: resin molds, dyed resin, 1950\'s, retro, spring, summer
Tip: Check package quantities for each component. You may have extra material to make more than one finished project, or will have leftovers for other projects. In some cases, adding on just one more package of a component may be all you need to make multiple pieces.
