Instructions:
- Use a pair of flush cutters to cut a length of gunmetal plated cable chain 18" long.
-
Cut two pieces of chain four links long and two pieces of chain eight links long. Make sure that you cut through the links to the outside of the ones you've counted so that you don't cut through one of the links you need.
-
Find the center link of your 18" length of chain. Use a 6 mm, 19 gauge gunmetal plated jump ring to hang a 27 mm black finish pewter anchor pendant from the center link.
-
Place a 6 mm red candy jade bead onto a 1", 21 gauge gunmetal plated eye pin. Use a pair of wire looping pliers to create a simple wire loop after the bead. Repeat this process with three more beads and eye pins.
-
Using the wire loops you have created, attach one end of the eye pin (with bead) to one loop on an antique silver plated flying sparrow connector link. Repeat with the other three beads on eye pins and another sparrow connector link. You should now have two sparrow connector links with a bead attached to both sides of each.
-
Use a 4 mm, 21 gauge gunmetal plated jump ring to attach a 4 link piece of chain to the free side of the eye pin on the tail end of each sparrow. Then use two more 4 mm jump rings to attach an 8 link piece of chain to the free side of the eye pin on the head end of each sparrow.
-
Use a 4 mm jump ring to attach the loose end of the 4 link piece of chain to a link in the main length of chain about 4.25" up from the anchor pendant. Repeat this process to attach one end of both sparrow pieces to the main chain, ensuring that the sparrows face inward.
-
Use a 4 mm jump ring to attach the loose end of the 8 link piece of chain to a link in the main chain about 1.25" up from the anchor on the opposite side. Repeat this process to attach the free end of both sparrow pieces to the main chain. The chains in the middle should cross each other.
-
Use a 4 mm jump ring to attach a 12 mm gunmetal plated lobster clasp to one end of the main chain and attach a 6 mm jump ring to the other end.

Keywords: navy, sailor, ocean, btq-nautical
Tip: Check package quantities for each component. You may have extra material to make more than one finished project, or will have leftovers for other projects. In some cases, adding on just one more package of a component may be all you need to make multiple pieces.
