Instructions:
- Cut three pieces of the Soft Touch beading wire 24 inches long. Secure one end of each of the three strands to avoid an accidental bead spill. We suggest using a Bead Stopper.
-
Thread the opposite end of each wire through a needle, and pull wire until it is about 1 inch through, and fold.
-
To each needle, add forty seed beads (approx. 2 ¼ inches long).
-
Gather all three needles and add a fuchsia bead.
-
Add twenty seed beads (approx. 1 inch long), followed by another fuchsia.
- Continue with this process, adding twenty seed beads to each strand, and a single fuchsia bead to all three strands together, until you have ten fuchsia beads on the strand.
-
After adding the tenth fuchsia bead, add forty seed beads to each strand.
-
Secure the ends temporarily with a Bead Stopper while you create the pendant.
-
Cut three pieces of wire at about 4 inches each. Secure three ends with a Bead Stopper.
-
Add twenty seed beads to each strand.
- Place the sterling silver pendant in the middle of the three strands, and gather them together around the middle segment of the necklace, enclosing the pendant.
-
Now you have three loops of twenty seed beads gathered around the sterling silver pendant. Since you have doubled the three loops, you now have six strands. Remove the Bead Stopper, and to all six strands, add a fuchsia bead.
-
After the fuchsia bead add a crimp bead and crimp it (All six strands should be able to fit through the size crimp bead we recommend, but if not try using a slightly larger crimp.)
-
Add a sterling silver crimp bead cover and gently close it.
-
Trim off excess wire.
-
Add a crimp bead to either end of the necklace.
-
Thread either end (all three strands) of the necklace through either side of the toggle clasp.
-
Run the wire back through the crimp bead and crimp it down. Trim off excess.
Tip: Check package quantities for each component. You may have extra material to make more than one finished project, or will have leftovers for other projects. In some cases, adding on just one more package of a component may be all you need to make multiple pieces.
