Instructions:
- Use black pearl cotton, a size 6 crochet hook, and 11/0 Delicas in Lavender Garden mix to create a beaded chain stitch as demonstrated in this video. Place a bead in every other stitch of your chain. Create a chain that is about 9" long (or half as long as you want your finished necklace to be) and then chain 20 stitches without beads.

Add a bead to your next stitch and then continue stitching a bead every other stitch until your second beaded piece measures the same length as your first (don't include the part with no beads).

Tie off your thread, leaving a tail at both ends.

Use the middle of the crocheted cord (the part with no beads) to tie a lark's head knot around a Golem Studio glazed ceramic heart pendant.

Pull the tail of your thread through a 22k gold plated crimp cord end and out the other side. Pull the tail all the way through until the end of the stitching is all the way in the crimp; crimp. Repeat with the second thread tail. Trim the excess tail threads.

Use a 22k gold plated 5mm, 20 gauge jump ring to attach a 22k gold plated sleek lobster clasp to one cord end. Attach a second jump ring to the other cord end.

Variations
Choose your favorite ceramic pendant and crochet a beaded cord to match. When substituting in items, pay attention to sizes and styles to make sure all your pieces will fit together.
