Elizabeth's Necklace

This pretty necklace features a lovely cameo suspended from a silk ribbon with rhinestone chain accents. It has a very vintage feel, and will give any outfit a feminine and romantic look.

Instructions:
If you purchase one more bezel pendant, you will have enough supplies to make two necklaces, so you can make one for a friend!
- Apply a thin layer of E6000 glue to the back side of a 25x18mm lucite oval cameo and press it into place in an antique brass oval bezel pendant. Allow the glue to set before continuing.

Cut a piece of 24pp crystal AB gold plated rhinestone cup chain that is 18 links (about 3.25") long.

Apply a bit of E6000 along the back side of the chain and then press it into place around the outside edge of your bezel pendant. Make sure that the end links are up against the hanging loop, and that the sides of the chain are flush with the back of the pendant so that it lays flat. Allow the glue to dry thoroughly before continuing.

Attach a 22k gold plated 5mm, 20 gauge jump ring to the hanging loop on your pendant.

Use the tapered end of a piece of dark raspberry silk fairy ribbon to thread it through the jump ring on your pendant. Cut the last 2" off of one end of the ribbon to remove the tapered end. Measure 18" from your cut end and cut.

Place a dab of E6000 into one 5x5mm 22k gold plated ribbon crimp. Keeping the ribbon folded up on the end, as it naturally is, so that it will fit into the crimp, slide one end into the ribbon crimp and pinch it closed using a pair of chain nose pliers. Wipe away any excess glue, and press the sides of the ribbon into the sides of the crimp to tidy the ends up. (The glue will hold them in.)

Repeat this process to attach a crimp to the other end of the ribbon. Then allow the glue to dry on both ends before continuing.

Use a jump ring to attach a 22k gold plated sleek lobster clasp to one of the ribbon crimps. Then attach another jump ring to the ribbon crimp on the other side.

Variations
Choose your favorite lucite cameo with components and ribbon to match to personalize the look of your necklace. When substituting in items, pay attention to sizes and styles to make sure all your pieces will fit together.

Tip: Check package quantities for each component. You may have extra material to make more than one finished project, or will have leftovers for other projects. In some cases, adding on just one more package of a component may be all you need to make multiple pieces.
