Instructions:
- Cut a piece of faux suede cord at twenty-eight inches long.
-
To make the necklace adjustable, tie either end in a simple knot about three inches down around the opposite side of the cord. Leave about a quarter of an inch of the excess cord and trim off anything longer than that. Set aside.
-
To create the lava and jasper charm, insert a headpin through two jasper beads, a lava bead, and two more jasper beads. Create a simple loop and trim off excess wire.
-
Add the small jump ring to the hole on the brass dog tag.
-
Gently open the large jump ring and to it add the dog tag, the feather, and the lava and jasper charm. Close again.
-
Pull the necklace cord taut with the adjustable knot at one end.
-
Thread the other end through the large jump ring so that a one inch loop protrudes.
-
Thread the adjustable knot end of the necklace through the loop, and tighten.
Tip: Check package quantities for each component. You may have extra material to make more than one finished project, or will have leftovers for other projects. In some cases, adding on just one more package of a component may be all you need to make multiple pieces.
