Brass Lacewing Necklace and Earrings
Project N115A
Designer: Lidia Ramos
Make this fetching necklace/earring combo as an alternative to our silver and crystal version.
NOTE: The earring hook used in this project has been discontinued and a slightly different hook has replaced it. The overall look of the earrings will not change much, but the hook will be very slightly larger than that shown in the photo.

Instructions:
For the earrings:
- Gently open the loop on both earring hooks the way you would open a jump ring.
-
Thread the earring hook loops through the hole in either pointy end on each of the diamond connector links and gently close again.
-
Using a toothpick, dab a tiny amount of E6000 glue on the back of the two flatback rhinestones and place them in the center of each diamond connector link. Set aside to dry.
For the necklace:
-
Cut two lengths of chain at 7 3/4" long.
-
Add a jump ring to either end of both lengths of chain.
-
Add one end of piece of chain to two of the holes on either side of a point on the filigree stamping.
-
To the jump ring on the opposite end of one of the lengths of chain add one end of the clasp.
-
To the other jump ring, add the other part of the clasp.
-
Using a toothpick, dab a small amount of E6000 glue on to the backs of the rivoli and position it in the center of the large filigree stamping. The glue will set in about six minutes, and full curing occurs within twenty-four hours.
Tip: Check package quantities for each component. You may have extra material to make more than one finished project, or will have leftovers for other projects. In some cases, adding on just one more package of a component may be all you need to make multiple pieces.
