Instructions:
- Begin by cutting the following lengths of chain: 4 @ 6 links long, 2 @ 5 links long, and 2 @ 4 3/4" (62 links) long.
-
Cut six pieces of wire @ two inches long each.
-
Using jump rings, connect the two 5-link lengths of chain to the single loop on the rivoli bezel.
-
Thread a piece of wire through each of the last holes on the two 5-link lengths of chain and create a wrapped wire loop on both.
-
On to both pieces of wire thread two of the bead caps, each sandwiching a 6mm light amethyst bead.
-
Insert the other end of each piece of wire through the last link of a 6-link length of chain. Create a wrapped loop.
-
On these two pieces of wire thread two heishe beads sandwiching a 10mm bicone bead.
-
Thread these two pieces of wire through the last link of two more 6-link segments of chain and create a wrapped loop with both.
-
Thread two more pieces of wire through the other ends of these two 6-link segments and create a wrapped loop on both.
-
Once again, thread two scalloped flower bead caps sandwiching a 6mm light amethyst bead each.
-
Thread the other ends of these two pieces of wire through the last links of the two long pieces of chain and make a wrapped loop.
-
To the opposite end of both of these pieces of chain add a jump ring.
-
To one jump ring add the spring ring clasp.
-
To the other jump ring add the chain extender.
-
With your wire cutters cut off the very last link of the necklace extender, including the gold bead at the end. You will be replacing this with the 6mm bicone bead. To do this, thread the 6mm bicone bead on to the headpin, thread the headpin through the last link on the extender chain and create a wrapped loop.
-
To make the tassel, begin by cutting three pieces of Powerpro at four inches long.
-
Thread six seed beads on to each thread.
-
Thread these through the three holes on the rivoli bezel.
-
Gather both ends of each piece of Powerpro and thread them through a crimp bead and crimp it.
-
Now you should have six dangling pieces of Powerpro. On to each of these thread twenty-five seed beads and a crimp bead. Note: before you crimp the crimp beads, you may want to dab on a tiny amount of E6000 to ensure that your seed beads don't slide off. Trim of any excess thread.
-
As your final step, dab a small amount of E6000 glue on to the back of your 12mm rivoli using a toothpick and set the rivoli into the bezel cup. The glue will set in approximately six minutes and full drying time will occur in twenty-four hours.
Tip: Check package quantities for each component. You may have extra material to make more than one finished project, or will have leftovers for other projects. In some cases, adding on just one more package of a component may be all you need to make multiple pieces.
