What You'll Need
|
Instructions:
- Begin by cutting two pieces of the 6mm curb chain at three inches (ten links) long each.
-
Using an oval jump ring, connect the loop on the pendant setting for the 20mm cosmic ring to the last link of one of the lengths of chain.
-
Using an oval jump ring, connect the bar part of the toggle clasp to the last link of the other length of chain.
-
To each of the opposite ends of the lengths of chain, using oval jump rings, connect a 14mm rivoli connector setting.
-
To each of the 14mm rivoli connector settings, using one oval jump ring between each connector setting, connect the following:
- one connector setting for swarovski 14mm square ring
- one connector setting for swarovski 14mm cosmic ring
- another connector setting for swarovski 14mm square ring
- and another connector setting for swarovski 14mm rivoli.
-
To create the pendant you must first lay out both sides of the necklace. Take two of the three-ring connector settings for swarovski 14mm cosmic triangle, and attach one of the loops on each to the last 14mm rivoli connector setting on each side of the necklace.
-
To connect the two sides of your necklace together, add an oval jump ring to the two inside loops of the 14mm cosmic triangle connectors and connect those two jump rings to the same hole on the connector setting for swarovski 20mm square ring.
-
Now there should be one remaining loop on each of the two three-ring connector settings for swarovski 14mm cosmic triangle. To each of these loops, add an oval jump ring. To those jump rings, add a 5mm round jump ring, followed by another oval jump ring.
-
Use the same steps that you used to connect the first two 14mm three-hole cosmic triangle connector links to join the other two 14mm three-hole cosmic triangle connector links to each other and to the other loop on the 20mm square connector link.
-
You should now have the top part of the pendant complete, which consists of the four three-hole 14mm cosmic triangle connector links, all linked together, enclosing the 20mm square connector link.
-
To the two remaining loops on the 14mm three-hole cosmic triangle connector links add an oval jump ring.
-
Connect those two jump rings to to of the loops on the 30mm cosmic triangle connector link.
-
To the one remaining loop on the 30mm cosmic triangle link add an oval jump ring. Finally, to that jump ring add the 14mm rivoli pendant setting.
-
With the basic necklace structure complete, it is now time to glue the crystals in place. Using a toothpick, spread a small amount of E6000 glue to the backs of the crystals and place them into their appropriate settings. The glue will take about six minutes to set, but it will take a full twenty-four hours to dry fully.
