Attar of Rose Necklace
Project N122 Designer: Andrea Morici
This super hip necklace takes its inspiration from the Victorian era, a chic Granny, and a patchwork quilt.
It mixes metals and gemstones in a unique way with a vintage cabochon pendant as its focal.
NOTE: This project includes one or more items that are no longer available, despite our best efforts. We have kept this project on the site for you to use as a template or inspiration for your own creations.

What You'll Need
|
Instructions:
- Cut a piece of wire twenty four inches long. Secure it with a Bead Stopper about two inches from one end.
-
The threading pattern consists of a sequence of beads, a middle segment (consisting of a gold seed bead, a silver coil spacer, a 6mm round silver, a silver coil spacer, and another gold seed bead), and the original sequence, only in reverse.
-
The sequence is as follows:
- a sodalite
- a gold hexagon rondelle
- a carnelian
- a silver daisy spacer
- a serpentine jade tapered tube
- a gold daisy spacer
- a tiger's eye
- a silver hexagon rondelle
- and a rhodonite nugget
-
Repeat this pattern two and a half times (until your beaded wire is about eight and a half inches long). When you get to the middle segment of the third sequence, omit the last gold seed bead, and instead thread your bail.
-
Repeat the entire necklace sequence, only reversed for the other half of the necklace.
-
Add a silver hexagon rondelle to the end of your necklace, followed by a crimp bead, but do not crimp it yet.
-
Thread the end of your wire through the loop on the "round" half of your toggle clasp.
-
Thread the wire back through the crimp bead and crimp down.
-
Remove the bead stopper from the other end of your necklace.
-
Add a silver hexagon rondelle and a crimp bead, but do not crimp it yet.
-
Thread the end of your wire through the last jump ring on the "bar" half of your toggle clasp.
-
Thread the wire back through the crimp bead and crimp down.
-
Trim off all excess wire.
-
Using a small jump ring, connect the loop on your bail to the loop on the pendant.
-
Spread a small amount of E6000 glue on the back of your cabochon and center it on your pendant. Allow the glue to dry for twenty four hours before you wear your necklace.
