What You'll Need For The Dainty Snowflake Necklace
|
Large Snowflake Necklace Instructions:
-
This fashionably long necklace with a larger pendant will hang 2/3 of the way down your torso. Use more or less chain to make it just the length you like it. We used 2.5 feet of chain. If you are a petite person, use 2 feet. If you want a longer necklace, use all three feet of chain.
- Cut a 2.5 ft piece of chain.
To one end of the chain, attach a 6mm Sterling Silver jump ring using the correct technique for opening and closing jump rings.
-
Gently open the oval jump ring, just enough to slip it through the last link of the other end of the chain, and through the small closed ring of the spring ring clasp.. Close the jump ring.
-
Open the pinch bail just enough to slip it over the end of the 30mm crystal snowflake. Make sure the prongs of the bail are aligned with the hole in the crystal. Gently close the bail using your fingers, or pliers, until it is securely gripping the pendant, but the pendant can still swing side to side. Do not press too hard, or the crystal may chip or shatter.
-
Slip the jump ring end of the chain through the top of the bail. Center your pendant and put on your new necklace.
Dainty Snowflake Necklace Instructions:
-
This delicate snowflake on a 16 inch long necklace will nestle at the base of your throat, for a classic look.
-
Open the pinch bail just enough to slip it over the end of the 20mm crystal snowflake. Make sure the prongs of the bail are aligned with the hole in the crystal. Gently close the bail using your fingers, or pliers, until it is securely gripping the pendant, but the pendant can still swing side to side. Do not press too hard, or the crystal may chip or shatter.
-
Undo the clasp of your chain. Slip the jump ring end of the chain through the top of the bail. Slide the bail gently over the beads of the saturn chain. Center your pendant and put on your new necklace.
Tip: Check package quantities for each component. You may have extra material to make more than one finished project, or will have leftovers for other projects. In some cases, adding on just one more package of a component may be all you need to make multiple pieces.
