Instructions:
- To create this piece, you will be joining wrapped loops. To do so, create the beginning of a loop, and thread it through the loop you would like to join it to, then complete the wrapping of the loop.
-
Cut your pieces of wire first. You will need sixteen pieces of wire, four of them at five inches long, and the rest at about three and a half inches long.
-
To create the first half of the necklace, make a wrapped loop on one end of a shorter piece of wire. Onto this piece of wire, thread a tiny bead cap (BMB-3829), a 10mm x 14mm Ruby Variscite oval puff bead (SPAP-31), and another tiny bead cap. Make four of these, linked together.
-
Onto one of the longer pieces of wire, create a wrapped loop at one end and join it to the last bead segment in the group of four. Thread a 7.5mm star bead cap (BMB-3421), a long tapered Ruby Variscite tube bead (SPAP-38), and another star bead cap. Make another wrapped loop at the end.
-
Connect a shorter piece of wire to the last link by making a wrapped loop. Onto the shorter piece of wire, thread a 7mm round copper bead (BMB-3307) and make another wrapped loop.
-
Connect one of the longer pieces of wire to the last link using a wrapped loop. Onto this longer piece of wire thread a 16mm x 40mm tapered rectangle Ruby Variscite bead (SPAP-34), sandwiched between two Raja pendant bead caps (BMB-3339). Create another wrapped loop on the end.
-
Connect a shorter piece of wire to the last link by making a wrapped loop. Onto the shorter piece of wire, thread a 7mm round copper bead (BMB-3307) and make another wrapped loop, but before you finish wrapping the loop, thread it through a 7mm triple twist jump ring (FJR-5422).
-
Create the second half of the necklace identical to the first. Thread the last loop of the second half through the same triple twist jump ring as the first.
-
Onto a copper headpin with loop and charm, thread the large rectangle Ruby Variscite bead, and a rectangular bead cap. Make a simple loop at the top of the headpin.
-
Open the simple loop the way you would open a jump ring and thread it through the triple twist jump ring that is directly in the center of the two halves of the necklace.
-
Using a 6mm jump ring, connect the s-hook part of the clasp to one end of the necklace. Use the other jump ring to connect the ring part of the clasp to the other half of the necklace.
