Instructions:
NOTE: For this project we found a pretty image of a bird's nest and shrunk it down to fit into our bezel setting. Before beginning this project, find an image you want to use that either fits into the bezel setting without needing to be shrunk or go ahead and shrink the image down first. A copy center can help you shrink down images if you are not familiar how to do so yourself.
-
Cut your 2' of bubble circle chain so that you have an 18" length. Set aside for now.
-
Cut out your image to fit into your Patera collage bezel setting. Using a paint brush or your finger, coat the backside of the image with Nunn Glue. Place into the base of your bezel and smooth out. Let dry.
-
Paint on a layer of Nunn Sealant over your image, making sure to get along the edges. Let dry. You have a choice now: I just painted one coat of sealant, and at places, the paper became slightly darker where the resin seeped into it unevenly. This created a distressed "shabby chic" look. If you want your image to have a completely even coloring, then paint 3 coats of sealant, let dry.
-
Find your Ezel sea green coated brass stamping and using your flush cutters, carefully cut one of the sides off of it. You want it to be about 1/4" at its widest point and approx 3/4" long. Before placing glue onto it, set it down into your bezel setting to make sure it fits. Make adjustments as needed. Once you are happy with its fit, place Nunn Glue on the backside of it and glue down into your bezel setting - lining it up at the top of your setting. See photo.
-
Cut your black ball chain so that you have 7 balls. Run a thin line of glue directly ontop of your cut Ezel setting which is set down into the bezel. Right up against the top edge of the bezel setting, place the cut ball chain into the glue. Press into place and let dry.
-
Take one of your Vintaj flying west sparrow connectors and cut off the loops on both sides. Using your Vintaj relief block, lightly sand the surface of your bird, exposing some of the raised areas. Place glue on the backside of the bird and set down into your Patera setting. Place at an angle which is complimentary to the design. Let dry.
-
and fill your bezel with resin. Check back after a few minutes and if any bubbles have risen to the surface, get rid of them with a heat source such as a micro torch. Check back again another few minutes later and see if any new bubbles have popped up - remove if necessary. Let cure for 3 days.
-
Once your pendant is fully dry, and link it to the midway point of your 18" length bubble circle chain and the loop at the top of your bezel pendant. To find the midway point, fold the chain length in half and find the middle link. Close the jump ring once linked.
-
Open another 4mm jump ring and connect it to the end chain link on one side of your necklace. Before closing it, link it to a 8mm jump ring. Close the 4mm jump ring.
-
On the other side of your necklace, open and connect a 4mm jump ring to the end chain link and also the loop at the base of your lobster claw clasp. Close the jump ring.
-
All done! Enjoy your new necklace.

Tip: Check package quantities for each component. You may have extra material to make more than one finished project, or will have leftovers for other projects. In some cases, adding on just one more package of a component may be all you need to make multiple pieces.
