Instructions:
You will love how easy this necklace is to make! From start to finish, it will take less then 30 minutes.
- Begin by cutting your 2' of chain into 6 equal sections, 4" long each. Set aside.
-
Take a brass eyepin and place onto it: 1 Czech fire polished glass 3mm round bead in jet black, 1 Czech fire polished glass 8mm round bead in metallic gold/topaz, and another 3mm Czech glass round bead in jet black. Create a simple wire loop after the last bead and cut off excess wire with flush cutters.
-
Repeat the previous step another 6 times, making a total of 7 identical beaded segments.
-
Open a 4mm jump ring and link it to one of the side loops attached to your brass eyeglass holder pendant and also the simple wire loop of one of your beaded segments from above. Close the jump ring.
-
Go to the other side of the beaded segment you just attached, and open and link another jump ring to the simple wire loop on that side. Also link onto the same jump ring the end chain link of one of your 4" long chain segments. Close the jump ring back up.
-
Go to the other end of the just attached chain length and open and attach another jump ring. Also link onto the jump ring another beaded segment. Close the jump ring.
-
Go to the other side of the beaded segment you just attached, and open and link another jump ring to simple wire loop on that side. Also link onto the same jump ring the end chain link of another one of your 4" long chain segments. Close the jump ring back up.
-
Keep repeating the last several steps, building your necklace, until you have attached all your chain lengths and beaded segments. You should end at the other side of the brass eyeglass holder pendant and be attaching a beaded segment to the loop (just like you did on the other side).
-
All done! Enjoy!

There is no clasp needed for this project since the necklace will slip over your head.
Variations
There are so many different ways you can change the look of this necklace but keep the same pattern. Try a different eyeglass holder pendant, various colors of beads, or swap out the chain. Have fun and be creative!
When substituting in items, pay attention to sizes and styles to make sure all your pieces will fit together.
Tip: Check package quantities for each component. You may have extra material to make more than one finished project, or will have leftovers for other projects. In some cases, adding on just one more package of a component may be all you need to make multiple pieces.
