Make A Wish Necklace

A pretty fairy with her star wand graces the front of the Green Girl Studios bead used as the focal point of this necklace. The open-back bezel allows for light to shine through, highlighting the berry colored beads surrounding the fairy, and also letting us see the word "wish" on the backside.

- To see how to make the focal pendant for this necklace, please watch the video on How to Fill an Open-Back Bezel with Resin. If you are not familiar with how to use Ice Resin in general, you can view the video: How to Use Ice Resin.

Make the focal pendant according to the instructions in the video, paying close attention to the orientation of the bezel and the Green Girl Studios focal bead when you pour your second layer of resin (see photo). You will need to do two resin pours for this necklace, I recommend having several other projects handy so that you can mix 1oz of resin for each pour (and use the leftover for your other projects).

After your focal pendant is completely cured, cut your 2 feet of chain into two 12" sections.

Open a jump ring and link it to one of the side rings on the pendant. Close the jump ring. On the other side of the chain, open another jump ring and link it to the Nunn Design round toggle clasp. Close the jump ring.

Repeat the previous step but this time attach the Nunn Design fern toggle clasp bar to the end.

Variations
Try making this necklace with a variety of different beads and settings.
When substituting in items, pay attention to sizes and styles to make sure all your pieces will fit together.
