Mod Cubes Necklace
Project N693 [Skill Level: Beginner] Designer: Julie Bean
This modern and chic necklace features 3 vintage lucite cube beads hung from a sleek chain. The interesting tortoise-shell pattern of the beads and their striking geometric shape, makes it so no other beads are needed to complete this mod design.

Instructions:
- Begin by cutting an 18" length of chain.
-
On one end of your chain affix a crimping bead with loop. To do this, crimp the crimp bead just the same as you would a regular one, just make sure to crimp closer to the end without the loop vs. right near the loop.
-
Slide three of your vintage lucite cube beads onto the other end of your beading chain.
-
Attach another crimp bead with loop to the chain end.
-
Open a 4mm jump ring and link it to a 6mm jump ring as well as one of the crimp bead loops on the end of your beading chain. Close this jump ring.
-
Go to the other side your beading chain, open another 4mm jump ring, and link this jump ring to the ring at the base of your lobster clasp as well as the crimp bead loop. Close the jump ring.
-
All done!

Tip: Check package quantities for each component. You may have extra material to make more than one finished project, or will have leftovers for other projects. In some cases, adding on just one more package of a component may be all you need to make multiple pieces.
