Craftsman Birds Necklace
Project N698 [Skill Level: Beginner] Designer: Julie Bean
The Craftsman style Clay River glazed porcelain focal pendant on this necklace is so striking that very little else is needed to complete the design. A simple olive green faux leather suede cord brings out the green border of the pendant and keeps the focus squarely on the bird design.

Instructions:
- Begin by cutting a 16" length of the faux leather suede olive cord.
-
Thread one end of the cord through the pendant bail.
-
Attach a 3mm antique brass foldover crimp to each end of the cord.
-
On one of the crimp ends, open and link a jump ring as well as a lobster clasp. Close the jump ring.
-
Form a small chain by opening and linking together 5 jump rings. On the fifth one, link this to the loop on the cord end attached to the side of your necklace that does not have the clasp.
-
All done!

To make this necklace longer, you can either cut a longer length of cord or make a longer chain of jump rings.

Tip: Check package quantities for each component. You may have extra material to make more than one finished project, or will have leftovers for other projects. In some cases, adding on just one more package of a component may be all you need to make multiple pieces.
