Deco Dragonfly Ring

A highly detailed lucite dragonfly cabochon is the focal point of this very easy to make ring. The intricate design of the dragonfly is highlighted with Gilders Paste to bring out all the details and then glued into a gorgeous Nunn Design bezel ring finding.

You will also need a clear acrylic matte spray sealant for this project.
- Take your finger and apply a VERY light coat of Iris Blue GIlders Paste over the top of your lucite dragonfly cabochon. Just barely touch the raised surface of the white design. If you are not familiar with how to apply Gilders Paste, please view the video here.

Let the Gilders Paste dry for 30 minutes and then spray a light coat of clear acrylic matte spray sealant over the design. Let this coat dry and then spray another 2 coats. Let all these coats fully dry.

Place a dab of E6000 into the base of your Nunn Design ring finding. Place your cabochon (flat side down) into the glue and press into place. Let dry overnight.

All done! Enjoy your pretty new ring.

This ring would also look very pretty without the Gilders Paste, just leaving the details of the dragonfly white.
Variations
Choose a different color of ring finding or different cabochon for a variation on this design.
When substituting in items, pay attention to sizes and styles to make sure all your pieces will fit together.
