Beeswax In Beadweaving

I am a beadweaver: Peyote stitch flat, round, and tubular, as well as loom woven work. I tried this wax as a thread strengthener. I ran the wax along my thread in a smooth line; As I worked the wax clotted in my beads, covered the beads and got stuck on the in-between threads, making my work appear very sloppy. It seems to have strengthened my thread and will probably increase the life of my work, but it might be best in single stranded work as opposed to weaving.
