This petite necklace will give a nice subtle shine to your favorite everyday look with the elegance of sterling silver. It's also a versatile piece for layering.

Instructions

If your Super Lon cord is too curly, try wetting it and running it through your fingers to straighten it as it dries.

Cut a 20" length of black Super Lon cord.
Place one end into a sterling silver crimp bead with loop. The end of the cord can extend just outside the top of the crimp bead. Crimp the bead and carefully trim the excess cord with flush cutters, being sure you don't cut through the loop.
Coat the free end of your cord in gum arabic beading glue and allow it to dry. Trim the very tip if necessary to get a nice clean point.
Tie a knot 7" from the crimp bead that you've attached to your cord. Then string 16 sterling silver small rounded saucer beads.
Tie a second knot just after the saucer beads.
Measure 7" from your second knot and attach the other crimp bead at this point. Crimp and trim the excess cord.
Open the loop on a sterling silver spring ring clasp the same way you would open a jump ring and attach it to one of the crimp bead loops; close the loop.
Close your necklace by fastening the clasp to the other crimp bead loop.
