Retired - Globetrotter Necklace

1. Begin by cutting a 7� length of braided faux leather cord with your flush cutters.
2. Next, add a few dabs of Super New glue into one of your TierraCast Taj cord ends. Place one end of your faux cord into the glue, holding it in place. Repeat this process with your other cord end. Set aside to dry for a few minutes.
3. You will need two 12� lengths of your antiqued gold plated link chain. Since your chain has links that can open, use your flat nose pliers to open up the chain links (how you would a jump ring). Prepare two lengths that are 20 links long each (12").
4. Next, open the last link from one end of one length of chain with your chain nose pliers and slide on the loop from your brass plated lobster clasp and close.
5. Open up a 6mm gold plated jump ring and attach it to the last link from the other end of that same length of chain. Before closing, slide on the loop from one of your TierraCast Taj cord ends and close.
6. Open up another jump ring and slide it on to the last link from your second length of chain. Also slide on the loop from your second TierraCast Taj cord end and close.
7. The cord and chain portion of your necklace is done. Now you will begin to add on your wire-wrappings. Please watch the video How to Wire Wrap Rows of Beads onto a Form. This project follows the same basic idea.
8. Using your chain nose pliers, cut a 5� length of gold color copper wire.
9. Following what you learned in your video, begin wrapping the wire around your cord at the base of your TierraCast Taj cord end. Wrap it around about 10 times and slide on one green Amazonite gemstone nugget bead and wrap the wire again around the faux leather 10 more times. See photo for placement assistance.
10. Skip about an inch on your cord and begin wrapping your wire around your cord again 10 times. Slide on your gemstone nugget bead and wrap your wire again. Repeat again and please look at the photo often. Space out your wire-wrapped gemstones on your faux leather cord, leaving about 3/4� space in between. When you are done, you should have 4 amazonite gemstones wire-wrapped onto the span of your cord. Snip off any excess wire using your flush cutters.
11. Next, add a few dabs of your Super New glue onto the front side of your Vintaj natural brass stamping blank. Flip your jasper gemstone cabochon over and press your stamping blank onto the back center of your cabochon. Make sure the loop that is on your stamping is peeking out. See photo. Keep stamping facing upward and set aside to dry.
12. Open up a 8.5mm jump ring with your pliers and slide it onto the center 4" point of your cord and close. Open up a 6mm jump ring and slide it onto that first jump ring and close. Open up a third 6mm jump ring and slide it through the loop on your Vintaj natural brass stamping that is sticking out from behind your jasper gemstone cabochon.
13. You�re done!
