Hi, this is Kat with beadaholique.com i earrings right here and these are really neat because they kind of have a little bit of dimension to them and that's thanks to using a lot of the two whole beads and today I want to be highlighting the groovy tiles which really help give this a nice little shape and sort of a nice beautiful anchor color as you can see there now here are the groovy tiles and if you're familiar with any of the two whole square beads they're very similar looking when you're looking down on top but once you flip it up it kind of actually resembles a little bit closer to an infinity bead which I'm going to be using here as well so you can see that these guys have a little bit more of that figure 8 shape to them so I have the groovy tiles the infinity beads I have some Demi round eleven o Toho seed beads and then I also have the two whole bar beads so those are the beads that you're going to need to make this project I also have two seven millimeter 19 gauge jump rings and two French style ear wires and these are both in an antique brass now for this project you'll need a pair of snips or if you prefer you can use a thread zap I'm going to be using the crystal fire line in the point zero zero six and I have a pair of chain nose pliers and now I've already threaded my size twelve beading needle with about four feet or so of that crystal fire line so we are going to go ahead and jump right in and get started on that first circle round so to pick up your beads go ahead and pick up one bar bead one toho one infinity one Toho one bar bead one Toho and one groovy tile now I'm just going to slide all that down and I'm going to pick up one more touhou and all you're going to do is repeat that so I'm going to go a little faster so a bar bead a touhou and infinity bead a touhou a bar bead a touhou and a groovy tile i just slide that down and you're just going to want to make sure and double check that you're getting one of those little touhou dummy rounds in between all of them and repeat one more time and the dummy Toho's are really nice because they add like little tiny spacers when you don't want to use big seed beads so they're really great to work with they come in a variety of colors which makes it very nice to work with it's very easy to color match alright so I keep picking up those beads and I'll get another groovy tile in here and one more of that demi round alright now before I tie it all together I want to check and make sure that I've got all my beads on there and that everything is nice and spaced and I have the right pattern so this is what it should look like and now just take your two ends and about six to eight inches from one end here you're just going to tie an overhand knot and bring those two ends together now give it a nice strong tug and you're going to do a double knot all right there we go and now all you're going to do is you're going to kind of lay it down and I want to sort of show you how this is going to happen so take all those bar beads and flip them in and take all those infinity beads and flip them out so I'm going to try to show you how this is all going to fold together in a minute here okay so now this is what you should have on your table now what I'm going to do is I'm going to go through this bar bead here and only that bar bead whom without not in your thread there we go all right so we've gone through that first Barbie there and now I'm going to go back through that same bar bead making sure that it doesn't catch any other beads so you're just going to make a nice little thread bridge and that'll be kind of hidden so now what we're going to do is we're going to pick up one Toho one infinity and one more Toho and I'm going to go through that next bar bead just like so and now just make sure that infinity bead is out of the way because we're just going to pick up one Toho and go through that next bar bead so you're sort of skipping one all right and now continue one more time and you're going to pick up one touhou I am getting my thread all tangled I'm so sorry pick up one Touhou one infinity one Touhou and you're going to go through that next bar bead and you're just kind of moving your way around the circle sort of just connecting all of those up together and now again just want to make sure that I flip my work there we go so I'm picking up one Touhou skipping that infinity and going into the next bar bead there we go so you can start to see what's developing there I'm going to continue going to move a little faster if I can one Touhou one infinity one Touhou going through the next bar bead picking up one Touhou going through the next bar bead picking up one Touhou one infinity and one Touhou and going through that next bar bead and this is my last one here I'm picking up one Touhou and going through that bar bead right there alright so you can kind of see a little bit of what's happening here let me just kind of spread it out so you can really get a look alright so in that Center one I just went all the way around and again just making sure that a Touhou is in between each one there and so now I'm going to pick up my work make sure it's nice and snug and I'm going to go back through that bar bead going back the other direction there we go all right and just make sure that you're keeping your work nice and tight and now what we're going to do is I'm going to go through that Touhou and the bottom part of that infinity bead and now I'm going to pick up and go through the second hole of that infinity bead and now we're going to start to kind of fold it all together so what I'm going to do is I'm going to pick up one Touhou one bar bead and one Touhou and go through the top hole of that groovy tile so now you can see that it will start to fold in and again just repeat a touhou up bar bead a touhou and i'm going to go through that top infinity bead and just flip that groovy tile up there because touhou a bar bead and a touhou and go through that groovy tile now just work your way all the way around and I will meet you back here at the other side to show you the next step okay so I'm picking up my last little segment of my touhou my bar bead and my toe hub and I'm going to go a little bit further so I'm going to go through a couple of these beads here I'm going to go all the way through that groovy tile to really make it nice and tight and now I'm going to go through the Toho and Barbie that's right next to it and now you can kind of see what's going to happen here is we're going to kind of flip all those beads inside and repeat that lower level up here on the top to just sort of bring it all together so go back through that bar bead that you just went through and here's where you're going to want to be really careful of your attention just making sure that it is nice and stiff all right so now you can see I'm sort of with my nail there I'm sort of flipping up that infinity bead right there because now we're going to go back around through and very much the same way so just pick up one Toho and go into that infinity bead and you'll see how it sort of comes in there and now the last beads that we're going to pick up are just those Toho so you're just going to want to keep making sure to flip your work towards the inside there as you can kind of see those they'll twist nicely for you and one more touhou and the bar bead keeping your tail out of the way and now again you'll see you'll just have to kind of flip that infinity bead up there to go through and just keep working your way all the way around all you're doing is adding those toe hose to fill in those little gaps there all right I'm coming around just so those last few here all right and I'm just going to go through that center circle just through a couple of beads just to kind of tighten it up and I'm going to make going under the thread bridge I'm going to make a little knot just to tighten up that work and one more knot there we go if you just keep going around and nodding you'll not only bulk up your thread which can help if your tension is a little too loose but also it'll just help secure that thread when you're ready to tie it off so now what I'm going to do is I'm going to weave my thread and you see I'm just choosing to come out one of those bar beads right there because what I really want to do is I want to get my needle up to the top coming out one of those toho so I'm just turning my work around or I'm sorry I'm turning my thread around so that I'm coming up one of those little Toho's and here's how we're going to do the little top portion so all you're going to do for this is pick up a demi a bar and Demi a infinity a demi a bar and one more Demi and now I'm going to make a little bridge and I'm going to go right across that groovy tile and down into the thread path on the front side and now go all the way through to that infinity bead and I'm going to try to show you the top here and I just I just flipped my work around so I'm going and turning it around making a little bridge on that infinity bead and again I'm going to do the same thing on this side where I want to come up from that Demi toho so I just sort of turned that work around and you can see they're just going to fall in like that so I'm going to pick up one Demi and I'm going to go through that bar bead that's on top there and now I'm going to pick up one more Demi and I'm going to pick up one of those jump rings and now I'm going to go through oops instead of picking up the jump ring this might actually be easier I'm designing as I go here so let's put the jump ring right there and what you're going to do now is I have my Demi on my needle and go through that infinity bead because the idea is to catch it and that might actually make it a little bit easier for you and then pick up one more Demi and go through that barbie there you go and one more Demi and now we're going to go down through on this side so you see how that infinity bead now has sort of caught the jump ring in the top there you can just kind of rotate it so there you go and now very simply I'm just going to tie off that thread by going underneath a thread bridge and making a nice little clean knot and going down into a couple more beads there and I'm going to go all the way through that groovy tile and now just snip off your thread and now I'm just going to move to the other side here remove my needle from my other piece of thread and all I'm going to do right now is just do the same thing on the other side and just tie off the thread now it does have a knot there so you don't need to tie off too much we'll go this way so just go through a couple of beads there make another little knot without poking yourself and go through all right remove your needle just trim your thread with your snips very easy and now the last little part here you just go ahead and take that ear wire your chain nose pliers and bend that open same way you would a jump ring hook on your jump ring there and close it up and you are all finished so that is how to make the Bell of bronze earrings with the groovy tiles infinity beads and two whole bar beads as well as the Demi round Toho's it's a great little project and they're really fun to work up I hope you enjoyed this video you can find more at
