Hello. In this video I'm gonna show you how to use these nifty little things and these are made by TierraCast and they are black coated niobium unfinished ear wire. And what unfinished part means is that it doesn't have a loop at the bottom and their space for you to add whatever bead you would like to add. So I made these lovely earrings here and they're using Swarovski Crystals in the provence lavender color. So I've got a larger rondelle hanging from the bottom of the ear wire. So to match it, I put a smaller rondelle on the actually ear wire itself and I'm going to show you how to do that right now. So the space is enough that you can put up to a 4 millimeter bead. Now this rondelle, the smaller one is a six millimeter but that's from side to side, the depth of it is only four millimeters so i thought it would be perfect. So to make this ear wire, I simply pick a bead up to four millimeters. Thread it on and then i have these awesome tools I really suggest everybody get a pair. They are round nose pliers on one side and the other side is concave. So it makes a perfect simple wrapped wire loop. They are really really great for either one. The wrapped or the simple loop. So right now we're just going to make a simple loop. So I'm going to grasp the end and while you're crawling down you can kind of determine how big you want the loop and you can move it up or down around those segment to get the desired size loop. So I'm going to bend it in my pliers and just curl downward until the loop meets the bead like so. Then insert the round nose part again and bend it back just a tiny bit and that will put a perfect little kink in the wire. Now your loop might be open just a little bit when you're done so simply take your needle nose pliers and squeeze it closed. Now that's how you use the ear wire with the add a bead feature. Very very cool. Now I want a matching dangle. So I'm going to take my head pin and i have two little bead caps. I've got the first one is very small and I've got this cute open scalloped one. Now I'm simply going to thread on my large Swarovski rondelle. I'm going to cut off about a half an inch above the bead. Always wear your safety glasses. And same principle just going to curl down the loop until it meets the bead and then bend backwards just a little bit. And there you have it and to add this part to the ear wire just open that loop once more the same way you would open a jump ring. Thread it through. Give it a twist to close at once more. And you have a lovely pair of earrings with the ear wires actually matching the rest of the earring. Go to Beadaholique.com for all of your beading supplies needs!
