Hi, this is Kat with beadaholique.com we're what you're getting is you're getting in essence a bail making pliers ear with a nice short nose that helps you with memory wire so if you look here at the tip we have a three millimeter loop that you'll be able to make and a 1.5 millimeter loop now just to show you the actual difference on some memory wire I have a project in progress here and up at the top here this is the one and a half loop and down here at the bottom is the three millimeter loop so you can just see that there is actually quite a nice size difference now how would you use both of those I would recommend that if you're going to add a charm you can do the 3 millimeter one which is the one here down at the bottom but you can also see that there's enough room here to add a jump ring in a charm to the 1.5 so I think it just really depends on the look that you're going for and also the size of your beads if you're doing something with seed beads or something with really tiny beads I would recommend going with the smaller size so that it looks a little bit more flush but if you've got some bigger beads like I have here I have some nice 6 millimeter beads there you can go with that nice 3 millimeter loop alright so as you can see that I've made my loop a little high up here so what I'm gonna do is I'm actually going to finish my bracelet so I'm going to sort of make sure that all of my beads are nice and tight on my memory wire and then the first thing I need to do before I make my loops I need to cut my memory wire now if you've worked with memory wire before you know that you need a special cutter and that is what I have here so in order to make my 1.5 millimeter loop I'm gonna move about I'd say a good quarter of an inch down my memory wire so you can just sort of see there always leave a little extra if you're unsure you don't want to end up with too tight on your memory wire alright so I'm going to give it a nice little cut there and set those aside and then I'm going to come in with the beadalon pliers here and I'm going to place the memory wire in there just like so so I have just a little bit coming up there and now what I want to do is I'm just going to rotate the plier in and just make sure that it has a nice little loop forming and the nice thing is that you get a nice little grip here on our loop and I'm going to bring that in and I have a little bit of room there so now my beads aren't so tight which is what you want so you can just see that on the end there once I let it go all those beads come right up close to the end all right so this is my finished piece here but I like I like I was saying I wanted to add a little charm there so I have a couple pairs of chain nose pliers here and I'm gonna take my 5 millimeter 20 gauge jump ring and just give it a nice little gentle twist to open I'm going to hook on my little squirrel charm here and hook it on to the larger loop at the top because I want him to have a little bit of freedom to sort of go around the memory wire close that up and that'll hang really nicely when I want to wear it so that is how easy it is to use the beadalon memory wire finishing pliers and these are wonderful and like I said I love that you can make two different size loops with these so just to show you really really quickly I am going to show you how to do it with a three millimeter size just get to the end of my memory wire there and it's the same process you just want to start with the 3 millimeter side on the center so we started with the 1.5 on the outside I'm sorry on the inside before so now that I'm a in this loop and you can just see that I'm just twisting it around just until it touches that memory wire and that's it so now you have your 1.5 and your 3 and it's that easy and that fun all right I hope you enjoy making some beautiful memory wire jewelry you can get all of these supplies and tools by heading over to beadaholique.com

Finishing Beadalon Memory Wire

This tutorial by Kat was very helpful in seeing how easy it is to finish a bracelet by using the specific wire cutter. Seeing the different sizes of loop made using the Wire Finishing Pliers to finish off the bracelet helped me determine various ways to complete my new works of art! Thanks Kat!
