Hi, this is Kat with beadaholique.com a lucite cabochon so I have a couple of examples here and I just did a few different ones just to show you so let me show you this one sort of side by side this is the exact same cabochon and as you can see this one is a little bit clearer and I just added the victorian gold patina to it and it just gives it kind of a fun new little look I do have another example here and this is using a white cabochon and I used a couple different colors of the patina here just to sort of make it hand-painted and really unique and then I do have one that's about half done I did the top portion and I just want to show you that again this is white underneath so you can see that there is a little bit of a color difference depending on if you choose the white cabochon versus the crystal-clear cabochon so I'm just going to show you how to do that in this video it's very easy you can have a lot of fun doing it so I'm just going to take my patina and again I'm using the Victorian gold today I have my white cabochon here and I'm just gonna get a little patina on my piece of paper there that I have just my little scrap paper and you can use any type of paint brush and you're just gonna go ahead and what you're going to want to do is get a good amount on your paint brush there that it can kind of go down and you can start to see it just sort of fill up those holes there and you're just going to want to kind of press that paint brush in there to really get that nice coating not too much it a little much there and you just kind of work your paint brush around this dries really quickly so you won't have too much time to work but I do suggest doing one or two coats depending on the sort of look you want if you want a little painted look you know and you don't want it to be completely covering you can do a little bit less but that's it that's just what you do and you just take this patina and we also do have a glaze that you can use on top of this just to sort of seal that patina in place but and then you just sort of work your paint brush around there I'm gonna do just that much for right now I'll finish the rest a little bit later once this dries again this does dry it very quickly so you'll want to do probably a couple of thin layers and then you'll have your beautiful cabochons and it will be nice and personalized using the vintage patina I hope you enjoyed this video you can find all of these supplies and more at beadaholique.com you
